TERMIS Simulation Modes

— Historical and Real-Time Simulations

  • | More
With TERMIS offline, online and real-time capabilities, you get a design, planning and operational tool in one single package for day-to-day network management. These capabilities can help you develop a better operating strategy in order to optimize cost-effectiveness and improve overall efficiency. TERMIS can run in different operation modes, but models are displayed the same, whether they run offline, online, or real time. The diffferent operation modes are described in more detail below.

TERMIS Offline

TERMIS offline is primarily used for planning and design purposes, for instance loss of equipment, extensions to the network, additional consumers, or other situations that occur in dynamic networks. You can perform network capacity analyses and determine maximum throughput, optimal pipe sizes, pump requirements, etc.

TERMIS Online (Historical)/Real-Time

TERMIS online/real-time is an integrated part of the operational management system for the district energy utility. By using the TERMIS software in online or real-time mode, you will attain a much greater understanding of the network characteristics. The TERMIS software is integrated with the SCADA system and runs on network process measurements available via the SCADA system.

TERMIS online/real-time simulates forward in time allowing proactive control and providing pump and production optimization. By combining the offline system and the online/real-time system, TERMIS offers a complete district energy management system, which intercommunicates with GIS, billing systems, loggers and SCADA systems.
