The Temperature Optimization module automatically minimizes heat loss in district heating networks, typically reducing it by 10%. This leads to significant savings of up to 2% of the heat cost while reducing the CO2 emission.

The inlet temperature is adjusted to be as low as possible, taking into account the amount of heat to be supplied to the consumers in the network. The Temperature Optimization module takes into account the accumulated energy in the network, and the changes that will occur as a result of weather forecasts of outdoor temperature and wind conditions.

The Temperature Optimization module is accessed from the TERMIS or TERMIS Operation user interface.

The Temperature Optimization module can communicate with your TERMIS Real‑Time model to present complete graphical information about temperature, pressure and flow in the network. Furthermore, TERMIS Real‑Time can be utilized to feed the SCADA system with calculated data.

All these and many more options give you a perfect overview of network operation and may ultimately postpone or even eliminate the need for adding new, costly measurement points.

No prior knowledge about TERMIS is required in order to implement the automatic Temperature Optimization module, and models built with other modeling tools are easily transferred to TERMIS.
