IGSS V8 includes a new feature for buttons in the IGSS SCADA
configurations. The "Pulse Button" feature allows you to send a command
to a PLC when the button is pressed down and to send a second command
when the button is released again.
Example of Use
The "Pulse Button" may be useful if you need to make accurate process adjustments in your SCADA system. This could, for example, be to open a valve for a short period of time to perform corrections in the level of a liquids container in your process or to fine tune the position of a robotic arm.
Below is shown an illustration of where a pump is commanded to Start when the button is clicked and Stop when the button is released.
