What is Object Watch?
In many SCADA configurations there are certain critical objects that need extra attention from the operators. The states and values for these objects should always be very fast and easy to access.
The Object Watch is a simple and handy feature that gives a fast and easy overview of these selected critical objects, from anywhere in the IGSS configuration. When IGSS is running, the operator can select any process object and add this to the Object Watch List.
The list of selected objects will be shown in the Object Watch Window. This window is placed on top of the current monitored process diagram. Since the selected objects may belong to different parts and diagrams of the process, the operator will always be able to see the information on these critical objects, independent on which diagram that is currently monitored.
Below is shown a situation where a second object is added to the Object Watch List. The Object Watch Window is seen on top of the monitored diagram and from this the operator can easily view the current status on the two objects.

Features with Object Watch
Object Watch is well integrated with IGSS's other forms of displaying process information. This includes the following features:
- Watch critical process objects fast and easily
- Access to Object Historian directly from objects in the Object Watch List
- Generate and view graphs for the watched objects
- Fast location of objects from Object Watch
- Export of process data for watched objects to a separate .csv file
