In case of emergency, a leak or a pollutant, the operator will need to close
of the area quickly. But does he know which valves to close? Often not. AQUIS
Operation will tell him.
By right clicking on the specific location of the leak or the detected
pollutant, the operator will be given the option to click on ‘Close Area’ – if
that is done he can choose to automatically close the area. The valves to be
closed are highlighted, and the operator can ask the field personnel to close
these valves.
This tool ensures the operator that he closes the right valves, and enables
him to react quickly – without having the in-depth knowledge of the location of
all valves in the network.
Step 1. Identify the area that has to be sealed off
Step 2. Right click on close area
Step 3. AQUIS Operation tells you the number of valves to be
closed
Step 4. Pres YES, and the valves will be closed
Step 5. Report to the field personnel that these valves have to be
closed.
