Updating the license file on HASP keys

The IGSS license is managed by the license file, called the Options.txt file. The license file contains license information regarding the IGSS installation and its components, such as the IGSS version and serial number, the sales order number which generated the options.txt, the number of network users, objects and drivers as well as any additional IGSS modules that have been purchased.

The license file can be sent by ordinary e-mail to the IGSS installation, but if you have a HASP-enabled IGSS installation, the license file is placed on the HASP key and locked by IGSS Support and 7-Technologies A/S Sales. The license file on the HASP key will always take precedence over any other license files, regardless of the date or placement of any other license files.

If your IGSS installation needs to be updated or has been updated with a new license file, it is therefore not sufficient to install a new license file from our sales department in the IGSS installation. The new license file must be placed on the HASP key for any license changes to take effect.

This entails unlocking the HASP key, replacing the license key and locking the HASP key again and only IGSS Support may lock and unlock HASP keys

Please contact IGSS Support if you need to update the license file for your IGSS installation and they will also update your HASP key remotely if the IGSS installation is accessible by internet.
