7-Technologies (7T) was established on April 1st. 1984, initially executing specialist projects within industrial automation.

This knowledge led to the development of the SCADA software product, IGSS - Interactive Graphical SCADA System.

In parallel the company LICconsult - founded in 1976 - cooperates with Fjernvarme Fyn about developing a tool to optimize the dimensioning of the District Heating network of Odense, the 3. largest city in Denmark.

“The IT industry has suffered seriously over the last years. A lot of companies within the industry have succumbed to the pressure, which for this young industry is an unknown situation. Many IT companies have closed down and others have been forced to rethink their business strategies to overcome the challenging situation. A situation which is not expected to change in the near future.

Across all product lines a considerable amount of development resources goes into the preparation of converting to the Windows platform. A significant effort is invested into this huge project.

On top of this, the world is exposed to the first truly real-time Water Network Management solution for water utilities and the first truly real-time District Energy Management solution. This is still a key differentiator in the year of 2009.

In 1999 7T was acquired by LICENERGY. In June 2000 7T became, once again, an independent company and is owned partly by the company management, the employees and a venture capital company.

Jens Krogh Løppenthien is appointed Managing Director of 7-Technologies A/S.The product suite is even stronger than before. It now consists of IGSS, LICwater renamed AQUIS and LICheat renamed TERMIS.

7T reaches major milestones – IGSS system number 27,000 is sold and TERMIS reaches the 50 million homes milestone. The click of a mouse does it all - AQUIS Operation and TERMIS Operation are being launched and set new standards in terms of intuitive user interface. The various types of users can have their user interface customized to suit their individual needs and requirements. All staff has information at their fingertips to provide instant answers to any enquiry.

25 years of experience and still innovative

Over the years focus has shifted; new concepts have been introduced along with the expansion of IT and the Internet. It has not always been clear to us where to position our portfolio of products. But now we are proud to say that we are one of Denmark’s most trendsetting providers of ’CleanTech’ - the technology for the improvement of the environment.

The environment has always been one of the key focus areas in our product development. In the future we will work even harder at developing technology to ensure a better environment.

Most of the staff involved in developing the unique products is still with 7T. The benefit is that the products are being developed by very experienced staff, but also that we can assist our partners and system integrators with specialist knowledge and in-depth technical support.
